Yet another tragedy has struck Nollywood as Yoruba actor, Abdul-Lateef Titilope Ashimiyu aka Alfa Lateef has died.
This is coming barely two weeks after popular actress and wife of veteran actor Jide Kosoko, Henrietta Kosoko succumbed to her battle with diabetes.
Alfa Lateef, who’s mostly known for his role as an Islamic cleric in movies, reportedly passed on yesterday evening after a brief illness.
As stated by the deceased’s family, his body will be interred in his family house in Agunpopo, Oyo State by 8:00 am today according to Islamic injunctions.
His death has once again shocked some actors and actresses in the Yoruba film industry. Fans and colleagues of the actor have taken to social media to express their grief about the loss.
This year alone, more than five Nollywood actors have died. They include Sikiru Adeshina aka Arakangudu, Fatai Onibuade, Mike Odachi, Genevieve Nene, Fred Eketa and others.
