It’s not uncommon for there to be deals on Microsoft’s subscription offerings. In fact, savvy shoppers never really have to pay full price for Microsoft 365.
One such deal is from Amazon, and it’s nearly identical to one that appeared exactly a year ago.
This one includes a year of Microsoft 365 Family for its normal price of $99.99 per year, but as a bonus, Amazon is throwing in a $40 gift card. The only catch is that you have to sign up for an auto-renewing subscription through Amazon, although you can turn that off at any time.
Microsoft 365 Family is an annual subscription that can be shared between up to six people. Everyone gets access to the full Microsoft Office suite with apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote, and they also get 1TB of cloud storage with OneDrive. The service works with Windows and macOS.
This is today’s Deal of the Day, so don’t expect it to last very long.
Meanwhile, Jeff Bezos agreed to back Africa-focused financial technology company Chipper Cash; making it his first start-up investment on the continent.
The world’s richest man’s personal venture capital fund, Bezos Expeditions, supported the Series B funding led by Ribbit Capital; which raised $30 million for the San Fransisco-based company.
Bezos’s backing of Chipper Cash will “widen the company’s product suite through inclusion of more business payment solutions; crypto-currency trading options, and investment services,” the company said in an emailed statement.
