Anfield Noise Is The Reason Sancho Was Denied A Penalty – Enzo Maresca

Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca has come out to say that the Anfield atmosphere played a part in denying Jadon Sancho a penalty vs Liverpool. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, the noises in the stadium play a role in the decisions from the refs sometimes, and he believes that was the case at Anfield.

Maresca, however, added that he still thinks officiating was okay in general throughout the game.

His words, “Sometimes in this stadium, the decision is also for the noise of the crowd. The referees are there to make decisions, sometimes they are right and sometimes they are wrong. Sometimes you have the feeling from outside that some of the decisions are for the noise. But overall they were OK.”
