Anti-party activities: Osun APC expels Salinsile, Odunlade, 82 others

In Osun State, 84 members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have been dismissed for alleged anti-party activities.

Tajudeen Lawal, the party’s State chairperson, announced the news in a statement released on Wednesday.

It explained that a Disciplinary Committee was formed by the State Executive Committee to look into the complaints lodged against certain members.

Rasak Salinsile, a former Vice Chairman of the Osun APC and Chairman of a group of the party loyal to Rauf Aregbesola, former governor of Osun State and ex-minister of the interior, is at the head of the list of expelled party members.

Among the expelled party members was Biyi Odunlade, a commissioner in Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration.

There were claims of wrongdoing and behaviors that humiliated and brought shame upon the party, so disciplinary action was taken, the statement said.

After conducting an objective investigation into the allegations, the Disciplinary Committee presented its conclusions to the State Executive Committee for deliberation.

The State Executive Committee has taken the regrettable but necessary action of dismissing the following members after a thorough evaluation of the evidence and consideration of the committee’s recommendations:
