The Presidential Campaign Council of All Progressives Congress has again postponed its rally in Taraba State.
The rally scheduled for Monday, February 13 was postponed after all arrangements for the arrival of the campaign train have been put in place.
At the time of filing this report, the leadership of the party has not offered any explanation for the postponement of the rally.
InfoStride News’ findings, however, revealed that an ongoing joint meeting in Abuja between the APC and the national hierarchy of the presidential campaign council in Abuja could be the reason for the postponement.
A chieftain of the party who confided in the media said Taraba is one of the numerous issues that would be ironed out in the ongoing meeting.
The postponement, which is the third in a row, has become a source of worry to some party faithful in the state some of whom on Sunday bared their minds to the media correspondent.
Party chieftains from different parts of the state could not fathom why the leadership of the party at the national level is finding it cumbersome to wade into the crisis rocking the party in Taraba.
They were unanimous in their opinions that the ongoing scramble for power among the party’s governorship aspirants is the major reason for the incessant postponement of the presidential rally for Taraba.
An aggrieved chieftain of the party who spoke anonymously with the media said: “We are becoming fed up with the attitudes of our party’s leaders at the national level. ”
Counting the number of times the rally in the state had been shifted, he said: “I only hope they will not blame us if we fail to deliver Taraba to Tinubu.”
