In a recent statement, Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has refuted claims that Chibuike Amaechi, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has resigned from the party.
Eze accused former Rivers senator Magnus Abe and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, of being the masterminds behind the challenges faced by the APC in Rivers State.
Eze emphasized that Amaechi remains the leader of the APC in Rivers State and has not resigned from the party, contrary to speculation.

He criticized Abe and Wike for seemingly vying for control of the Rivers APC without considering the efforts of those who stood by the party during challenging times.
Despite being a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Wike has reportedly been given control of the APC structure in Rivers State.
On the other hand, Abe, who recently returned to the APC after contesting the 2023 governorship election under the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has also been implicated in the internal struggles of the party.
Eze’s statement comes amidst ongoing political developments in Rivers State and highlights the complexities within the APC’s leadership in the region.
