    APC Congress: Umahi Inaugurates 171 APC Elected Wards Executives

    Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, on Friday inaugurated 171 executives of the All Progressive Congress, APC, who was elected during the ward congress of the party that took place at the 13 local government areas of the state.

    InfoStride News gathered that the inauguration took place ahead of the forthcoming APC local government congress slated to hold in the 13 LGA of the state on Saturday.

    The inauguration, which took place at the Christian Ecumenical Centre, Abakaliki, witnessed in attendance, all prominent stakeholders of the party including former federal lawmakers, among others.

    The governor, however, charged the newly-elected wards executives of the party to be loyal and be committed especially now that elections draw nearer.

    The governor also declared his readiness to support the caretaker executives of the party in the state, to stand for the next state APC Congresses.

    He further urged the new ward executives to support the caretaker committee members to emerge victorious.

    In a related development, the governor harmonized the list of contestants who will be standing election in the forthcoming local government APC congress, slated for tomorrow, 4th of September, 2021.

    He revealed that the reason for the harmonization of list of contestants submitted to him by stakeholders was to avert crisis in the Saturday’s Local Government Areas Congress.

    Umahi, however, charged the APC members to maintain peace and order as the LGA congress takes place in the 13 LGAs of state.
