The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed confidence that the party’s ongoing digital membership registration exercise will surpass nine million registered members within its first two weeks.
The APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, stated this during a press briefing on Monday, describing the turnout so far as encouraging.
Also speaking, the party’s National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru, disclosed that more than two million Nigerians had already completed their registration within the first week of the exercise.

Basiru stressed the importance of accurate membership data to improving the party’s planning and operational efficiency.
“We are happy to inform Nigerians that just a week into the exercise, those who have registered as members of the APC are already over two million,” he said.
“We envisage that by the time we make another assessment next week, we should have between eight and nine million registered members.”
He added that the NWC would closely monitor the exercise across the states, warning that coordinators in states found to be underperforming could be replaced.
“Any state that is found lagging, the National Working Committee has been given the latitude to change the coordinator of such state,” Basiru said.
