The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has inaugurated The Progressive Institute (TGI) at its National Secretariat in Abuja.
This was disclosed in a statement posted on the party’s verified X handle on Monday.
The inauguration of the institute follows its formal unveiling in September 2024.

According to the statement, the National Chairman of the party, Nentawe Yilwatda, will serve as Chairman of the Governing Council of the party’s policy think tank.
The party explained that the institute is expected to drive policy research and publications, organise national and international conferences, seminars and training programmes.
It added that the institute will build leadership and institutional capacity within the party, strengthen ideology, governance standards and democratic culture, as well as serve as the institutional memory of the APC.
