[divider]The nation-wide registration by members of the All Progressives Party (APC) continued on Wednesday with late arrival of materials amidst some successes in some states.

In Ogun, Gov.Ibikunle Amosun and a former governor of the state, Chief Segun Osoba, expressed satisfaction with the turnout of members to exercise their civic responsibility.

Amosun, who registered at Ajura Ward 1 in Ajura town in Obafemi Owode Local Government, said he was encouraged by the large number of people who came to register in various centres.

He commended the organisers of the exercise for the peaceful and orderly manner and encouraged them to ensure that the process was not hijacked by people with ulterior motives.

In Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT the membership registration witnessed impressive turnout .

Alhaji Usman Yahaya, the Secretary to the Gwagwalada Area Council told NAN that the council had received registration materials long before the exercise began.

Yahaya said the council had in turn distributed 100 forms to each of the 79 polling units in the area, adding that the response of members was encouraging.

Also speaking, Mr Abdulakeem Hamza, a supervisor at the Angwan Fulani polling unit, said he was impressed by the large turnout of members for the exercise.

However, in Yobe the membership registration suffered delay in spite of early long queues of members at the wards.

It can be reported that prospective members formed long queues at the wards but, the registration officers did not turn up till the time of filing in this report at 3.00 p.m.

Alhaji Adamu Dala-Dogo, Speaker the State House of Assembly, told newsmen that the delay was caused by late arrival of the registration materials.
