Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the most united and focused political party in Nigeria’s history, while dismissing the opposition as the weakest and most disorganized.
Fani-Kayode, in a post on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account, said the inability of opposition parties to hold successful National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings is proof of their internal disarray.
He argued that President Bola Tinubu should not be blamed for the state of the opposition, asserting that their failure is self-inflicted.

“The @OfficialAPCNg is the most united and focused party in the history of our country,” Fani-Kayode wrote. “The opposition forces are the weakest, most fragmented, most indisciplined, most cowardly, most incompetent, most confused, most divided, and most badly led in our entire history.”
He continued, “They are truly pitiful and pathetic and are getting more demystified and diminished at both the federal and state levels by the day. Is it any wonder that we are heading towards a one-party state?”
The former minister ridiculed the opposition’s alleged failure to hold internal meetings without chaos. “Don’t blame @officialABAT (President Bola Tinubu) for that,” he said, “blame the opposition who cannot even hold a NEC or National Caucus meeting without insults, rancour and exchanging blows. Are these the clowns that want to take over power at the centre in 2027?”
Fani-Kayode also criticised ongoing efforts by opposition leaders to form a coalition ahead of the 2027 elections, calling them desperate and lacking vision.
“You have put your personal ambitions before the collective interest of our nation and your respective parties. Your arrogance, ambition and insufferable pride have led to your downfall,” he said.
Concluding his remarks, he declared: “Hubris always leads to nemesis! I can’t wait till 2027 so that we can bury you all over again — only this time, it will be for good.”
