During a colloquium organized by the Southeast chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nnewi, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the APC, emphasized the need for Anambra State to join the ruling party, describing its continued stay in the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as a “political dislocation.”
Ganduje highlighted the marginalization of the South East, attributing it to what he described as miscalculations by the region’s people.
He stated that Anambra State, having had governors from APGA for 25 years, needs to connect with the ruling party to experience progress and development.

According to Ganduje, joining the APC would enable Anambra to benefit from infrastructure and other advantages that come with being part of the ruling party.
He emphasized the importance of being at the table to negotiate for one’s interests, stating that APGA’s refusal to join the ruling party has hindered the state’s growth.
Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, also present at the colloquium, echoed Ganduje’s sentiments, emphasizing the need for national integration and unity.
He welcomed Senator Ifeanyi Ubah into the APC, praising his political acumen and urging other capable individuals to join the ruling party to secure a better future for the Igbo people.
The event underscored the APC’s efforts to integrate the South East into the ruling party, with leaders urging Anambra and other states in the region to align politically for improved development and representation.
