The All Progressives Congress (APC) has initiated a reconciliation process in Adamawa State by constituting an eight-member committee to resolve internal grievances and strengthen party unity.
The committee, chaired by Senator Muhammed Mana, is tasked with addressing complaints among party members and fostering cohesion.
It includes prominent members such as Senators Bello Tukur, Abubakar Girei, Binta Masi Garba, Martins Babale, Yusuf Buba Yakubu, and Dr. Bridget Zidon, with Isa Baba serving as Secretary.

Addressing a meeting of the APC Adamawa State chapter in Yola, the APC National Vice Chairman for the North East, Mustapha Salihu, revealed that the committee had already begun consultations in Abuja and would soon move to Yola for further engagement.
A statement issued by the Adamawa State APC Publicity Secretary, Mohammed Abdullahi, on Wednesday, disclosed that the Yola meeting followed an earlier meeting with the National Security Adviser (NSA), Malam Nuhu Ribadu, who is the party’s leader in the state.
The NSA emphasized the need for genuine reconciliation and unity within the party.
Present at the Yola meeting were the National Vice Chairman for the North East, members of the State Executive Committee, local government party chairmen, and the eight APC members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly.
“The purpose of the meeting is to solidify the resolutions from the earlier meeting held in Abuja with the NSA, who stressed the importance of reconciliation and unity in the party,” the statement read.
The move comes amid concerns over dwindling party popularity in Adamawa State, as some influential members have reportedly defected to other parties or threatened to leave.
The reconciliation effort aims to address these challenges and ensure the party remains competitive in the state.
