The South-South National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Victor Giadom, has described the Rivers State congress as a critical step toward the party’s goal of reclaiming political control in the state.
Speaking during the congress, Giadom assured party members that fairness and equity would guide all leadership decisions moving forward.
He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its active monitoring of the process and expressed confidence that credible leaders would emerge to steer the party for the next four years.

“The process of claiming the Rivers State Government House will start from today,” Giadom declared, signaling a renewed determination by the APC to strengthen its position in the state.
The Vice Chairman praised the commitment of party members and acknowledged the contributions of prominent leaders, including Senator Magnus Abe, Sampson Ngerebara, Chidi Wihioka, and others.
He assured them that their dedication to the party would not go unrecognized, adding that fairness and equity would now take center stage in APC’s internal operations.
“This party will remain grateful to all of you,” he said. “Fairness and equity will be brought to play in our party going forward.”
Giadom expressed optimism that the internal challenges previously faced by the APC in Rivers State would be resolved following the successful conclusion of the congress.
He reaffirmed his confidence in the party’s strength, stating that the APC remains the strongest political force in the state.
He also commended INEC officials for their presence and oversight during the congress, describing their role as vital to ensuring transparency and credibility in the electoral process.
“This congress will be very fair and transparent, and we are going to elect credible leaders that will pilot the affairs of this party for the next four years,” Giadom emphasized.
The congress marks a significant milestone for the Rivers State APC as it seeks to rebuild and consolidate its structures ahead of future political contests.
