The Forum of All Progressives Congress (APC) State Women Leaders has voiced their dissatisfaction with the national leadership of the party, claiming they have been neglected and sidelined.
During a courtesy visit to the national chairman of the party, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the President of the Forum, Patricia Yakubu, along with 35 other APC state Women Leaders, expressed their grievances.
They specifically criticized the National Woman Leader of the party, Mary Alele-Idile, for not including them in party activities.

Yakubu highlighted that the State Women Leaders play a crucial role as they are closer to the party women at the grassroots, who represent a significant voting bloc.
She lamented that since the elections, they have received minimal support from the National Secretariat, citing instances where only basic items like a bag of rice and a paper wrapper were provided, with no support during Easter, Ramadan, or Salah festivities.
The State Women Leaders also claimed they were not involved in the distribution of palliatives, despite being responsible for grassroots engagement.
They called for more inclusion in the party’s affairs and requested that the National Woman Leader and her Deputy involve them in program planning to ensure their full participation and capture the needs of different states.
In conclusion, Yakubu urged the National Woman Leader and her Deputy to engage more with state-level women leaders to understand grassroots issues better and find appropriate solutions.
