Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has come out to provide an update on the injuries suffered by Gabriel Magalhaes and Jurrien Timber during his team’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, Timber was so willing to help the team vs Liverpool, so he gave himself a chance to compete, but he really does not know the extent of his current injury.
Arteta added that Gabriel could no longer run in yesterday’s game, and he would be assessed very soon.
His words, “I think we’ve done everything we could to accelerate that process. He [Timber] was so willing. The team and the medical staff have done a great job. We gave ourselves the chance to compete. I don’t know the extent of the injury if there is one. The same with big Gabi. Continue to go.”
On Gabriel’s injury, “I don’t know but he could not run. I don’t know what happened. I don’t know if it’s the knee joint or the ankle. They’re assessing him now.”
