Campaigning for the Kogi Governorship Election, scheduled for November 11, has been halted by the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The election was put on hold out of respect for Ms. Khadijat Yahaya, a party member who was killed in an attack by unknown assailants.
This was announced on Tuesday by Mr. Kingsley Fanwo, spokesman for the State Campaign Council.

According to reports, Khadijat was killed on September 29 in Kotonkarfe during a fight between members of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the opposition All People’s Congress (APC).
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Alhaji Usman Ododo, the APC governorship candidate in the state, paid a visit to the deceased woman’s family in Kotonkarfe to express his condolences.
Ododo prayed to God for the peace of her soul after learning of her death.
