The All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged victorious in all the 24 chairmanship seats and 240 councillorship positions in the just-concluded local government elections in Gombe State.
The Gombe State Independent Electoral Commission (GOSIEC) announced the results on Saturday in Gombe, the state capital.
According to the commission, six political parties participated in the chairmanship election.

The parties included the APC, Youth Party (YP), National Rescue Movement (NRM), Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), African Action Congress (AAC), and Democratic Liberation Alliance (DLA).
GOSIEC declared that the APC secured victory in all the chairmanship and councillorship positions contested across the state’s 24 local government areas and 240 wards.
