The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on its supporters to uphold peace and order as the Supreme Court prepares to deliver its judgement on the outcome of the last governorship election in the state.
Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani, the State chairman of the APC, issued the charge in a statement conveyed through the party’s state publicity secretary, Comrade Yusuf Idris Gusau. Danfulani emphasized the need for supporters to remain peaceful and law-abiding during this critical period.
In the statement, Danfulani highlighted the party’s recent meeting with security agencies, where it was agreed that anyone found in possession of arms or weapons before or after the judgement would face legal consequences.

He commended the exemplary conduct of the party’s supporters thus far, even in the face of provocation, and urged them to maintain their dignified behavior.
“We appreciate the peaceful demeanor of our supporters, even in challenging situations, and urge them to continue demonstrating this restraint as we await the Supreme Court’s decision,” Danfulani stated.
The party chairman specifically called upon the youth wing of the APC to exhibit maturity and responsibility, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the rule of law and expressing confidence in the judiciary’s ability to dispense justice fairly.
“We call on all our party supporters, especially the youth wing, to remain law-abiding and prayerful as we await the judgement.
Our commitment to peace and respect for the rule of law is unwavering,” he concluded.
The statement from the APC Zamfara chapter comes amid heightened anticipation ahead of the Supreme Court’s ruling, underscoring the significance of maintaining peace and order in the state.
