In a New Year message titled ‘New Dawn,’ the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has underscored the need for a change in Nigeria’s leadership and policies, which it considers as the longstanding challenges faced by the country since its independence in 1960.
The party, led by its National Chairman, Yusuf Dantalle, expressed hope that 2024 will mark a turning point where Nigerians will actively engage in reshaping the nation’s destiny.
APM emphasized the importance of holding governments at all levels accountable as a crucial step in the quest for a better society.

In its statement, the APM acknowledged the existence of a glimmer of hope in the horizon, foreseeing a national rebirth and reconstruction that could propel economic growth, political stability, and social harmony.
However, it urged Nigerians to unite in redirecting the nation’s course away from its current challenges, which have led to the impoverishment of millions.
The party’s message conveyed a message of resilience, stating, “Tough times never last, tough, resilient, resourceful people do.”
It called for a collective effort, anchored by faith, to overcome the obstacles hindering the nation’s progress and lead it to a new era of prosperity and greatness.
Finally, the APM highlighted the importance of Nigeria as the citizens’ shared heritage, urging a concerted effort to address the various issues plaguing the nation, including economic stagnation, political instability, ethnic conflicts, terrorism, insurgency, banditry, and kidnapping.
The APM’s New Year message echoes a call for unity and proactive engagement in shaping Nigeria’s future, emphasizing the role of both the government and the citizens in charting a path towards a brighter tomorrow.
