APM tells Tinubu to resign if unable to solve problems

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has called on President Bola Tinubu to resign if his administration is unable to find lasting solutions to the challenges confronting Nigeria.

The party made the call while reacting to recent comments by Catholic cleric, Cardinal John Onaiyekan, concerning the country’s worsening socio-economic and security situation.

APM said the concerns raised by the cleric reflected the hardship and uncertainty being experienced by many Nigerians.

The party argued that Nigerians elected the President to provide effective leadership and address issues affecting their welfare, security and economic well-being.

According to the APM, if the government lacks the capacity to resolve the country’s major problems, it should be willing to make way for leaders who can provide better solutions.

The party also urged the administration to take concerns raised by religious leaders, civil society organisations and other stakeholders seriously rather than dismissing criticism.

APM maintained that Nigerians deserve accountable and responsive leadership, stressing that government must prioritise the protection of lives, economic stability and improved living conditions.

The party called on the President to demonstrate stronger political will in addressing the country’s challenges or consider stepping aside if meaningful solutions could not be delivered.
