The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Osun State has urged the state government to accelerate efforts on critical infrastructure projects, particularly in road construction, healthcare, and education, to improve the quality of life for residents.
In a statement released on Sunday by APM Chairman Wale Adebayo, the party highlighted the urgent need to address the poor condition of key road corridors, especially with the festive season approaching.
“The festive season sees an increase in travel, and the deplorable state of major roads poses a significant risk to citizens’ safety,” Adebayo stated.

“It is unfortunate that the government has not implemented measures to manage vehicular movement during this period, indicating a lack of concern for the welfare of the people.”
APM specifically called for immediate repairs to the LAMECO-Okefia-Old Garage road, emphasizing the need for safe and efficient travel during the festive season and beyond.
The party also expressed its hopes for peace, prosperity, and progress in Osun State and Nigeria at large.
The InfoStride News noted that the Osun State government has been active in rehabilitating and enhancing critical infrastructure.
Projects include the construction of five flyovers in Osogbo, Ikirun, Owode-Ede, and Ile-Ife, as well as the expansion of major roads in the state capital and other significant towns.
