A former senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has paid tribute to Nigeria’s Armed Forces on the occasion of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day, commending their sacrifices in the service of peace and security.
Sani made the remarks in a post shared on his X handle, where he praised the courage, dedication and selflessness of members of the armed forces, both past and present.
He noted that the annual remembrance provides an opportunity for Nigerians to celebrate and appreciate the gallant men and women who have endured hardship, separation from their families and, in many cases, paid the ultimate price to safeguard the country.
According to the former lawmaker, the courage and determination of members of the armed forces remain the bedrock of Nigeria’s stability and prosperity.
“Today on Armed Forces Remembrance Day, we celebrate and appreciate the services and sacrifices of our gallant men and women in the past and present.
“They discomforted their families and gave their lives for our peace and security. Their courage and determination is the bedrock of our stability and prosperity,” Sani wrote.
