Arsenal legend, Paul Merson has come out to blast Mikel Arteta’s side after they surrendered a 2-0 lead to draw vs Aston Villa. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, the entire team was just too lackadaisical vs Aston Villa, and they should forget about winning the EPL title if they are not willing to turn it up every game.

Merson added that the defending leading up to Watkins’ goal was simply atrocious and laughable.
His words, “It’s just too lackadaisical, to win Premier League titles you have to be on it, every day of the week, you have to turn up and make it hard.
When we look back at the goal, it’s atrocious and I’m not sure Arsenal have what it takes to win the league. It’s hard, anybody wins cups, but the league is week in, week out and you have to be prepared to defend.”
WOW.
