Atiku Says He Stands With Nigerians, Faults Tinubu’s Policies

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has declared his support for Nigerians amid concerns over the rising cost of petrol and the worsening economic hardship in the country.

Atiku said he remained on the side of Nigerians who are struggling with the impact of fuel price increases and other economic challenges.

The former vice president criticised President Bola Tinubu’s administration over its handling of the downstream petroleum sector, arguing that government policies had continued to place additional pressure on ordinary citizens.

He said the rising cost of petrol had triggered increases in transportation, food prices and the general cost of living, making life more difficult for millions of Nigerians.

Atiku maintained that the government should prioritise policies that would reduce the burden on citizens rather than introduce measures that further increase the cost of living.

He also reiterated his position that Nigeria requires economic policies capable of protecting vulnerable citizens while promoting sustainable growth and development.

According to him, the hardship being experienced by Nigerians should not be ignored, stressing that leaders must remain accountable for the consequences of their policies.

Atiku urged Nigerians to remain hopeful, promising that he would continue to speak out on issues affecting the people and advocate policies aimed at improving their welfare.
