Cameroon FA boss, Samuel Eto’o has come out to tell Napoli president, Aurelio de Laurentiis that he has no powers to stop players from featuring in the Africa Cup of Nations. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, Aurelio de Laurentiis has a Cameroon player in his team, Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, and if Rigobert Song calls him up to the national team for AFCON, the Napoli president cannot stop him from heeding that call.
Eto’o added that only the player can decide not to participate in AFCON, and no one else has that power.
His words, “He has my player in his team Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa and if Rigobert Song [Cameroon coach] calls him to the national team, the Napoli president will have nothing to say.”
“It will not be possible to stop him [Anguissa]. It is only the player who can decide not to come and must give a reason. Otherwise, we have the authority to call any player.”
“Right now, the best African player in the world is Sadio Mane. I think he will win the next Ballon d’Or.”
