Sokoto State Government says it plans to commence the sale of one million litres of petrol to motorists weekly to stabilise the fuel supply situation in the state. A Federal High Court sitting in Ado Ekiti has sacked the Ahmed Makarfi-led faction of Ekiti state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) State Working Committee. The court sacked the faction led by Barr. Gboyega Oguntuase, which currently enjoys the backing and support of Governor Ayodele Fayose. British actor John Hurt, known for his roles in “Elephant Man” and “Harry Potter”, has died aged 77. Reports citing his agent say that he died after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
