At least 15 suspects have been arrested in connection with banditry and cattle rustling by the Police in Katsina State. The suspects were arrested across Danmusa and Batsari Local Government Areas of the state where a total of 228 cows along with 267 rustled sheep were recovered in their possession. Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have invaded the staff quarters of Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic Zaria in Kaduna State. The spokesman of Kaduna State police command, Mohammed Jalige told newsmen that the gunmen invaded the Polytechnic around 10pm on Saturday and headed straight to the staff quarters where they shot one person and abducted three others. A 64-year-old man, William Ogbu, has been murdered by his own son at Aji Community in Igbo Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State. The late William Ogbu had five grown-up children including two sons and three daughters. Ogbu was killed with an axe by his son, Johnson Ogbu about three days ago and buried in a shallow grave near a plantain farm near his Umuidenyi residence.
