The WTO Secretariat has published information about trade issues linked with the spread of diseases of animal origin. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has informed the general public that it has been informed by the US Food and Drug Administration of the withdrawal of all alcohol- based hand sanitizer that contain ethanol that have tested positive to methanol. NAFDAC also stated that, Rwanda Food and Drugs Authority (RFDA) has also banned the use of ‘99% Methanol Alcohol’ hand sanitizer, packed by KVM Co. Ltd. Federal Government will today sign the agreement for the sale of Afam Power Plant for #105bn. The signing ceremony, which is scheduled to hold at the Office of the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbaji, would mean the official transfer of ownership of the power generation company to Transcorp Power Consortium. NAFDAC Nigeria did this in commemoration of the 2020 annual med safety week organized by the World Health Organization’ Collaborating Centre for International Drug Monitoring which has 80 countries in attendance.
