Unidentified persons yesterday attempted to set ablaze the Kano State Secretariat of the Caretaker Committee of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Court Road in the metropolis. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Jigawa on Saturday said it had arrested three suspects for allegedly breaking into a house and stealing wrappers and money. The Sokoto State Police Command on Friday banned the sale of petroleum products on the roadside in Sokoto metropolis and its environs. The Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Shaibu Gambo, made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Sokoto.
