Senate President Bukola Saraki is facing a deficit about 20,000 votes behind Dr. Ibrahim Oloriegbe, the APC challenger in the battle for the Kwara Central senatorial district. Saraki lost sight of Oloriegbe after the announcement of the result of Ilorin East Local government, the second local government in his senatorial district. Oloriegbe had defeated Saraki, 15, 392 votes to 11, 252 in Asa. In Ilorin East LG, he outpaced Saraki 30,014 votes to 14,654 votes, taking the gap to 19,500 votes. Muhammadu Buhari is currently leading Abubakar Atiku by a massive margin in Yobe state after results in five local governments were made known at the presidential collation centre in Damaturu, the capital.
