Everton are considering a move for Manchester United defender Chris Smalling, sources have said. Smalling’s long-term future at Old Trafford has been the subject of conjecture, after sources said earlier this week United would be open to offers for the centre-back this summer. Smalling is currently one of the longest-serving players at United, but he could find himself pushed down the pecking order at Old Trafford next season if new players arrive this summer.
