Chude Jideonwo, whose company handled the media brief of candidate Muhammadu Buhari for the 2015 election, has described the president as a disappointment and failure. “His job is done. President Buhari’s job is done. His job was to break the monopoly of the ruling party and make our democracy competitive. He has been hugely successful at that. The country hasn’t improved”, Jideonwo lamented in an interview. “My company will not be working for him in the 2019 election”, Jideonwo declared in disgust. He believes Buhari hasn’t changed and never will. “On the fundamentals of it, nothing has moved. There’s a…

Sen. Ita Enang has said that while the Federal Government is working extra hard to tackle the issues of farmers-herdsmen clashes in Benue, it is constrained by the constitution. He maintained that the Federal Government could not go beyond its constitutional boundaries. He also explained that in the herdsmen-farmers clashes in Benue, which is the most topical, the best the government could do, was to talk less while it thought of ways of addressing the situation on ground. Enang said, “the Federal Government cannot legitimately interfere in the grazing question, except in the security angle because of the constitution and…

They are asking policy makers – why…

Sani Abacha, by demonstrating against the infamous…
Antonio Conte begged “all the people who work in Chelsea” to understand the mistakes that led to Wednesday’s shock 3-0 home loss to Bournemouth, suggesting that his preparations had been compromised by the club’s deadline day transfer dealings. Asked if he was happy with the club’s business, Conte replied: “It’s not important. I’m not happy [with the result]. The transfer market is not important. Now we have to focus on the work. Players go, players come. It doesn’t change.” There were suggestions that Roma’s willingness to sell their star striker sprang from a need to raise funds to meet financial…
Pep Guardiola recently said it will be difficult to complete a deadline day deal for Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez. “Right now, it’s the same as [Alexis] Sanchez and Laporte, it’s not the place to talk about it,” Guardiola told a news conference when asked about Mahrez ahead of Wednesday night’s clash with West Bromwich Albion. “It’s so difficult. it happened with Laporte because it’s a buy-out clause, when you have to negotiate it’s always so complicated.” “I have interest in a lot of players, good players, there are many, the window is open until the 31st,” he said. “We…

It’s a lot of money but the big difference is that we need to buy…

The Belgium international lasted just seven minutes of the 2-0 defeat at Wembley…

Antonio Conte has said Chelsea are overachieving this season and insisted that a top-four finish in the Premier League would be a “great success” after Wednesday’s shock 3-0 defeat against Bournemouth. “Tough night, but if you remember very well, I predicted this tough night yesterday during the press conference,” he said. “If you remember, I said it would be very, very tough for a lot of reasons. It happened, but now we have to move on and see the next game. “Now it would be very simple to find a lot of excuses, a lot of alibis. This is not…
The Grammys are comedy gold, and giving Album of the Year to Bruno instead of Kendrick will go down in history as one of their all-time most hilarious gaffes. But it’s part of the grand Grammy tradition. Album of the Year never goes to the year’s best album. It always goes to some other album – usually a damn good one – so people act outraged for a few days, then nobody ever remembers again who won. That’s how the Grammys roll. Bruno’s shocker win capped off an extremely weird Grammy ceremony – the kind of night where you keep…
