Rumors of drug addiction have continually trailed Chris Brown and a new investigative report published on Thursday, March 2, 2017, by Billboard on the America star’s struggle with substance abuse further buttresses this point. The father-of-one has now shared his opinion on the reports via his Instagram stories on Friday, March 3, 2017, and contrary to belief, he assured his fans that he is in good health. Brown, however, lamented over the fact that his progress in life is constantly marred by controversial issues like a report on drug addiction. He said, “I’m tired of reading about some s**t soon…
Lionel Messi was in top form as he scored twice and set up two more goals to help Barcelona cruise to a 5-0 win over Celta Vigo on Saturday. Neymar, Ivan Rakitic and Samuel Umtiti were also on the scoresheet as Barcelona restored their spot atop the table by one point ahead of Real Madrid, who still hold a game in hand. Messi had already hit the post before he opened the scoring at Camp Nou with a masterful solo effort against a good Celta side who have already beaten Barcelona and Real Madrid this season. He received the ball…
Jose Mourinho said Manchester United had only themselves to blame after being held to a 1-1 draw by 10-man Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Saturday. United had 20 shots, seven on target, and although Marcos Rojo opening the scoring they were pegged back when Josh King struck from the penalty spot shortly before the break. And they missed a great chance to win the game in the second half when Zlatan Ibrahimovic saw his penalty stopped by Artur Boruc. Mourino told Sky Sports: “What happened was that we played phenomenal in the first half and should have been winning 3-0…
Manchester United forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic denied deliberately elbowing Tyrone Mings in the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford, saying the Bournemouth defender “jumped into my elbow.” Ibrahimovic — who saw a second-half penalty saved by Artur Boruc as United failed to make the most of a series of chances — clashed with Mings at the end of the first half. Mings slid in on Wayne Rooney and then stamped on Ibrahimovic, who appeared to elbow the defender in the face at a corner seconds later. Mings has denied that he intentionally stamped on the striker. Both avoided red cards from referee…
Zlatan Ibrahimovic had a second-half penalty saved as Manchester United were held 1-1 by Bournemouth and missed the opportunity to move ahead of Liverpool and into fifth in a feisty game at Old Trafford. United missed a host of chances but made the breakthrough after 23 minutes when Antonio Valencia’s low strike was stabbed in by Marcos Rojo to secure a deserved lead. Bournemouth’s Andrew Surman clattered Luke Shaw to pick up a yellow card — but on 38 minutes his side were level when Phil Jones fouled Marc Pugh to concede a penalty that was slammed home by Josh…
Arsene Wenger says he does not “regret” his choice not to start Alexis Sanchez against Liverpool on Saturday evening and revealed he made the decision because he wanted a more “direct” approach from his Arsenal side. Arsenal fell 3-1 to Liverpool at Anfield after goals from Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Georginio Wijnaldum knocked Wenger’s side out of the top four in the Premier League. Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck started ahead of the Chilean, who came on after half-time and provided the assist for Welbeck’s goal shortly before the hour mark. Having earlier told BT Sport that his choice…
Liverpool put their disappointing defeat at Leicester on Monday behind them to move up to third place in the Premier League with a 3-1 home win over Arsenal, who dropped to fifth. Arsene Wenger raised eyebrows when he left Alexis Sanchez on the bench, starting Danny Welbeck, while Mesut Ozil missed the match through illness. The change did nothing for the Londoners as Liverpool produced a dominant first-half performance to take total control by the break thanks to goals from Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane. Sanchez came on at the break and Arsenal pulled a goal back through Welbeck, but…

A further indicator of Manchester United’s progression in 2016-17 is that David de Gea is unlikely to win the club’s player of the year award this season. The Spaniard has deservedly won the Sir Matt Busby trophy in each of the past three seasons. He’s done little wrong this term, but with United raising their game and having a more attacking emphasis, there’s been less focus on De Gea. Though there are still more than two months of the season remaining, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is almost certain to grab that honour, with notable mentions for Antonio Valencia, plus De Gea’s compatriots…
