Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state has called on militants in the Niger Delta to drop their arms and embrace dialogue. The Federal Government recently ordered the immediate withdrawal of troops from the troubled Niger Delta region. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has issued a statement explaining how a suspect, Desmond Nunugwo died in their custody. Reports have it that the EFCC said Nunugwo was arrested because he fraudulently collected N91m from a woman under the pretext of helping her secure a high yield investment.
