The Southern Governors Forum has kicked against the removal of electronic transmission of the election result from the electoral act. Jacob Zuma, South Africa’s former president, on Sunday announced his refusal to serve his 15-months prison sentence. On Tuesday, the 79-year-old former president was sentenced to 15 months in jail for contempt of court. Security operatives have dispersed Yoruba Nation protesters who gathered at the Gani Fawehinmi Park in Ojota, Lagos. The protesters stormed the venue in their numbers as the Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, was addressing journalists.
