The Kwara Police Command has deployed 3, 200 personnel to ensure peaceful ward congresses of the All Progressives Congress, APC, on Saturday. The Commissioner of Police, Ambrose Asaibor, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Ilorin. Gov. Umaru Al-makura of Nasarawa State has called on the Federal Government to review the military operation in the state to guide against civilian casualties. A statement issued Friday by Hajiya Maryam Abba-Ibrahim, Permanent Secretary (Administration) Office of the Secretary to the State Government, said Governor Kashim Shettima approved Mr. Bwala’s sack with “immediate effect”. The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has launched investigations into the alleged use of chemical weapons on civilians by suspected gunmen in some parts of Benue State last month.
