The World Bank has disclosed that $21 billion (N4.2 trillion) was sent home to families and friends, by its citizens living abroad, in 2014. However, the growth of remittance is expected to slow this year. A massive oil spill has occurred from a pipeline belonging to the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) in the Kolo Creek oil field operation in Bayelsa.
