Seven men found guilty of illegal dealing in 1,459 metric tonnes of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly called petrol, will spend a total of 84 years in prison. Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, yesterday, convicted the men to a jail term of 12 years each, after the Judge found them guilty of the five count charge preferred against them. Parading the suspect, Jephiter John, the Comptroller, Yusuf Umar, said he was arrested on Oct. 28 at about 10.30 p.m. on Badagry waterways. The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has thrown out an appeal filed by the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, challenging his trial by the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).
