Policemen attached to the G.R.A Police Command, Bauchi State have arrested a reverend father and one other person for allegedly defrauding one Joel Sumi of N60,000. Mrs Oluwakemi Oyedeji, Director Environmental Health Services, Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State, said 20 residents of the area were caught on Saturday for violating sanitation laws. Oyedeji said in Ibadan during the monthly sanitation exercise that the residents were caught at Orita-Challenge, adding that 13 of them were later released after satisfactory reasons while the remaining seven persons were prosecuted. The Federal Government and Benco Energy Limited of Brazil yesterday signed a N144 billion Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, to construct a 700 megawatts power plant in Nigeria.
