The Nigerian Army has denied the diversion of $43m meant for the settlement of officers and men on peace-keeping missions by some army generals. The Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED), on Sunday, announced that it would cut power supply to Port Harcourt between July 13 and 23 for repairs and upgrade of facilities. The company’s Public Affairs Manager, Mr John Onyi, told newsmen in Port Harcourt that there would be power outage from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily during the period.
