A retired President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Ayo Salami has said that most Nigerians believe that occupants of elective offices do not enjoy the mandate of the electorate. He also noted that graft, disregard for due process, insensitivity and impunity on the part of government officials have weakened the country’s electoral processes. The Lagos State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), said Thursday that it would install Circuit Camera Televisions (CCTV) to strengthen security in its motor parks. At least 10 persons have escaped death after a two-storey building under construction at 11 Sand Beach lanes off Alonge Street, Oworonshoki, Kosofe Local Government in Lagos State collapsed on Thursday morning. Workers were said to be busy on the construction when the building caved-in on them at about 11:00 am, leaving 10 construction workers trapped under the rubbles. The National Technical Committee on the European Union/ECOWAS Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) negotiation on Thursday said Nigeria might lose its fiscal revenue by endorsing the agreement.
