At least seven people were killed in ethnic and religious violence in eastern Nigeria’s Taraba state, police said Thursday, with local residents putting the toll at 20. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and its downstream subsidiary, the Pipelines and Products Marketing Company, on Thursday said it has flooded the market with 293,326,011 litres of petrol in a bid to ensure a hitch free Easter celebration across the country. The Lagos State Government on Thursday said it had plans to acquire farmlands in some states in the northern part of the country for crop and livestock production.
