Enhancement to Automic ONE Platform with Request and Approval Management
Vienna/London – Automic, www.automic.com, a leader in business automation, today announced it has completed the acquisition of request and approval management system specialist levatis Software Solutions GmbH (levatis).
levatis solutions have been an important part of the Automic offering since 2012, complementing the Automic ONE platform with request and approval management capabilities.
Many of Automic’s customers, including Bosch, Merck, RWE and E+H, have actively been using and benefitting from levatis solutions. They have repeatedly endorsed levatis for its innovative approach. With the acquisition, these solutions will be incorporated into Automic’s latest Application Service Orchestration (ASO) offering. End users are thus able to request delivery of IT services through a self-service portal, spanning various platforms and applications, as well as across private and public clouds. Service fulfillment via the ONE Automation platform is then monitored through the same portal.
With the levatis acquisition, Automic moves one step closer towards enablement of self-service to business users, and away from reliance on IT departments to automate processes. This represents a top trend in the automation industry. levatis also makes a substantial contribution to Automic’s aspiration to launch Automation as a Service in the near future.
“Request management and approvals are such an important part of our Application Service Orchestration (ASO) and Application Workload Automation (AWA) products,” says Todd DeLaughter, Automic’s CEO. “That’s why we keep investing in our leading automation platform. We focus 100% on automation. Strengthening our capabilities with this acquisition is one more step to ensuring we have the best products for our customers today and in the future.”
“Our long-standing collaboration with Automic was built on the mutual aim to take business automation to the next level. Joining Automic feels like the logical step to maximize synergies from our respective products and add value to our customers’ businesses,” says Eduard Rameder. Mr. Rameder started his business in Vienna, Austria, in 2004.
“The idea when we developed the product was inspired by Automic’s success and its unmatched ability to help businesses fulfill their automation needs. Automic’s deep commitment to automation and customer success is something special,” concludes Reinhard Falschlehner, who joined levatis in 2012, fueling the company’s growth by adding product and project management experience.
As part of the acquisition, Reinhard Falschlehner and Eduard Rameder will both join Automic, as will the rest of the team.
Terms of the deal are not being disclosed. Jank Weiler Operenyi advises Automic and RPCK Rastegar Panchal advises levatis on the legal front.
