Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has said that she does not agree with couples abstaining from sex until marriage. She recently revealed that the traditional expectation is wrong, and fans have been reacting.
In an Instagram video, Sarah addressed the popular pastoral analogy that compares men who seek premarital sex to bicycles while advising women to wait for a Bentley, which represents total commitment.

According to her, contrary to popular opinion, premarital sex is not a moral lapse, and it is actually a reasonable way to be certain about sexual compatibility before choosing a life partner.
Sarah stated that premarital intercourse simply helps men and women make informed decisions before marriage.
“So a pastor said ‘any man that asks you to sleep with him before marriage is a bicycle and that we should wait for our Bentley’.
My question is ‘what if I am the one that is the Bicycle and the man is the Bentley? because I am a girl’s girl, a lover girl, a girl that doesn’t like to cheat on a man. When I am in, I am in. I do not know how to play games. It is me versus my man and I. So why do you think I will blindly enter into a relationship or marriage without confirming the strength of my man or if he is actually a man down there before I finally say I do? Because I do not intend to start sneaking around after being married to my man.
It is okay for me to get to know this man in and out, s*x inclusive before I finally get to settle down with him,” she said.
Sarah further noted that denying a man sex before marriage is no guarantee that the union will last forever.
The moviestar concluded by saying that starving a man in bed before you become his wife does not also make the woman a good girl.
“I do not understand the idea that people are throwing around that any man that asks you to sleep with him before marriage is this or that..Bro! It doesn’t work like that.
If you like make a man wait for ten years, any man that will stay will stay and any man that will leave you will leave you.
A man can stay with you for ten years but the very night he has his way, that same night, he would leave you.
Making a man wait so long doesn’t guarantee a relationship or starving a man does not guarantee you being a good girl,” he added.
