Banky W has recorded the theme song for the film “Gidi Blues”.
The singer revealed this on photo/video sharing app Instagram. The ‘Jaiye ori mi’ crooner shared an image of the movie poster with the caption:
“The producers of this film “Gidi Blues” were kind enough to let me work on the soundtrack’s theme song, while also giving me a small cameo appearance in the movie . . .”
He also shared that his latest production was “pretty funny and creative”.
This is not the first time Banky W has made a cameo appearance in a movie. In 2015 he appeared as himself in “Jenifa’s Diary”. In 2012, Banky W worked on MTV “Shuga’s” soundtrack ‘Love, sex, money’ which also featured Bon’Eye, L-Tido and Wizkid. The singer also made appearance in the second season of the TV series.
“Gidi Blues” produced and directed by Femi Odugbemi will be having its Lagos premiere tomorrow, Saturday, June 4, 2016.
The love story features: Gideon Okeke, Hauwa Allahbura, Lepacious Bose, Daniel Lloyd, Nancy Isime, Bukky Wright, Tina Mba, Segun Obadare-Akpata, Toyin Oshinaike, William Ekpo among others.
