Barcelona’s on and off-field struggles is not a positive for Real Madrid, Ramon Calderon has said.
He recently revealed that Barca’s woes could negatively impact Madrid and he really hopes things at Nou Camp are back to its best anytime soon.
According to him, it is vital to have a team like Barcelona comepeting in La Liga because both teams make each other better on and off the pitch.
He added that the rivalry between Barcelona and Real Madrid is like that of Ronaldo and Messi since they motivate each other to improve.
His words, “It is important to have a team like Barcelona in our league, and for Real Madrid as well to have as a rival,”
“It makes both teams better.
“It used to happen with Cristiano [Ronaldo] and [Lionel] Messi. The fact that both have been in those teams made them better players. It encouraged them to improve themselves and win more trophies in order to beat the other. It is the same with Real Madrid and Barcelona.”
“The clubs are always in a competition. This is what should happen between those two clubs.”
