Manchester United and Bayern Munich are still in the frame to land Romelu Lukaku, according to reports.
The Belgian powerhouse has been linked with a move away from Everton ever since he refused to sign a new contract.
Chelsea were the favourites to sign Lukaku but the Mirror are reporting that sources close to the player are saying no deal is close.
Toffees boss Ronald Koeman is desperate to keep his star striker, who still has two years on his current contract.
And that means the Blues could be forced into a bidding war that drives up Lukaku’s price over the £100million barrier.
Chelsea are still favourites to re-sign the player they sold to Everton for £28m back in 2014.
But Lukaku’s agent Mino Raiola is reported to have kept contact with both United and Bundesliga champs Bayern.
United are in the market for a striker after deciding to not extend Zlatan Ibrahimovic‘s contract due to injury.
Lukaku is one of their targets with the club also looking at wantway Real Madrid striker Alavaro Morata.
Bayern could also make a bid after concerns over the future of Robert Lewandowski.
They are also after Arsenal’s Chilean star Alexis Sanchez.
Chelsea are hoping they can land Lukaku after Antonio Conte told Diego Costa he is no longer needed at the club.
