Corps members have been advised by Mrs. Hafsat Yerima, the Yobe State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), to remain alert and aware of their surroundings in order to protect themselves from potential dangers.
She made this statement while giving a briefing to the corps members of the 2023 Batch ‘C’ Stream 1 at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Dazigau, which is located in the Nangere Local Government Area of the state.
They were given the mission by Yerima to report any movements or behavior in their environment that seemed odd or suspicious to the nearest security formation so that appropriate action could be taken.

“It is imperative that all corps members participate in all camp activities,” she said, “with the exception of those who have legitimate medical reasons that have been certified by the camp clinic.”
She also informed them that the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has established a camp court to try corps members who break the rules of the camp.
Additionally, Yerima advised them against the use of social media and encouraged them to make constructive use of the various platforms available to them.
