Manchester City star, Riyad Mahrez has come out to say that he is anticipating a tough and different Manchester Derby on Sunday. He recently revealed that he believes victory at the Etihad Stadium would boost the club’s chances of winning the EPL title this season.
According to him, he and his teammates are aware of what the Manchester Derby means to the fans, so everyone is fully focused on the match.
He added that City cannot come this far to throw it all away at this stage of the season, therefore more important victories are compulsory.
His words, “It is a derby and we know it means a lot to the fans,”
“We are going to try and enjoy today and then we will start to focus on United.”
“It is going to be another tough game, different, but tough as well, so we will see.”
“If we win on Sunday it will be good, but we know we are not at that point yet and we have to recover today and try to be ready for then.”
